Chick flick for June 12, 2022. Interesting thing happened today. Like half of my babies grew, a lot.

I recorded how my babies grow each day. This is my first set of baby chicks. I ordered them from Cackle Hatchery. They are the Crested “Top Hat” Special and the Feather Footed Bantam Assortment Special.
I ordered 10 of each mix. If I had it to do again, I would not have ordered the mixes because I’m using these to start a breeding program. I love my babies, but business wise ordering specific chicks would have been a much better plan.

Chick flick of the day. Here, I think where the action is, is where the clover is, look at them now. My babies I noticed today. Let me see, oh there we go. See his fur you didn’t have that yesterday so and there’s another one that has the head fur going on. So I don’t know if that tells me that they’re definitely boys or if that’s just them starting to get their crests.
I’m not sure. But I thought I would point out that, hey, there’s a big difference. Look at these guys. They’re fighting over that one piece, and there’s a whole, big pile. But the big ones are in there. I don’t know the little ones are sneaking around the corner. Look at those suckers, they steal from each other. It’s horrible, horrible. Of course they are just too cute.
All of them. Wattle, wattle, wattle. I’m kind of worried about that one it’s not awake yet or something is going on with him. You can see the crest on that one too and feathers. It looks like my big ones are feathering out my polish. Houdan. Well, I think I got a crested mix.
And they are definitely feathering up, definitely feathering up. And Dropkick is using his signature move. The reason I call him Dropkick there you go. There goes my paint baby. Look at that f*cking hairdo going on, it’s too cute. I’m kind of worried about him not real active at all this morning. Well, he moves, so he may just be hot I know usually they’re all aways after the greens.
Well, I tried to give him the greens. Had a couple of the big ones in my hands earlier. I wonder what would happen if I grabbed a green. You want that? You want that? I think that’s the one that escaped the hutch the other day. I guess it doesn’t want. Hey, wait, what about this?

I’m going to wait just this like this? Oh, look, these don’t come to me that much. Tomorrow I get the joy of cleaning up in here. I think I’m going to aim to do that on Mondays. I think that’s a pretty good chick flick of the babies this morning. Love that wild hairdo going on. It’s so fun to watch them and see what they turn out to be.
It’s weird. It’s almost like I wonder if size has anything to do because all of a sudden I’d say, I mean, look at those right there, all of a sudden half of them are way bigger. I have a pair of the silver and it’s like one of them grew overnight to way bigger than the other. Like, I mean, those two, look at them.
There’s a huge difference and they’re all the same age except for Dropkick, the guinea and the two white silkies. But I mean, look at that. Those definitely look like boys. Just all of a sudden they grew. It’s a trip. All right. Anyways, I’ll go take a video of my rooster, whose dignity was injured again today.
