Here’s my newest silkie chick. I pulled it out of the incubator death trap. So far, out of 20 eggs set I have hatched one baby, and one died.
Well, this little cutie right here came out of the incubator today. He’s got a little bit of a problem when we catch him. See we got a little foot. A little foot. That’s a problem.
Other than that, he seems to be doing pretty good. I went ahead and went to Tractor Supply and got some vitamins and I’m hoping that’ll straighten it out. If not, he gets along pretty good. I just won’t keep breeding in. And my husband and I decided that that death trap I call an incubator is not going to be used anymore.
I just won’t be able to see my babies. I’ll have to listen anyway. There’s the tiny ones. I have no idea if I’m going to get any more chicks out of this clutch.
