I recorded how my babies grow each day. This is my first set of baby chicks. I ordered them from Cackle Hatchery. They are the Crested “Top Hat” Special and the Feather Footed Bantam Assortment Special ordered 10 of each mix. If I had it to do again, I would not have ordered the mixes because I’m using these to start a breeding program. I love my babies, but business wise ordering specific chicks would have been a much better plan.

We also have 1 guinea and three silkie babies that survived a freak storm in this group. Enjoy watching them grow. I will have them all linked into a playlist so you can watch them. Chick flicks to enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLn3fko4h1DljAYO9YWVOCErGTrn3v11Yk

Hi. This is Chris, of Chickens For Chicks. This is where my babies are, and I would love for you to come on along with me on my journey in homesteading and learning about my chickens and doing all that fun stuff.

These are all the babies that we ordered from Cackle Hatchery. We got a couple extra, but we got ten feather foot runs.

And then we also bought ten. And the cockerels or not the cockerels. The Polish crested. And then there’s five at least phenixes in here. So these babies hatched out Monday and this is Saturday night. So they are just too adorable. Here, let me see if I can get somebody to come on to my hand. Hey bubbas.

Here, here, here, see I cheat, I use food. Here, there you go. Food is a good thing.

It’s good babies. That’s my good babies. Yes, it is. Those are like good babies. Yes, they are. Not long at all. And I have all kinds of babies checking me out. This is our first. Actually, this is our second, we lost a bunch of our chicks. So hopefully we’ll do better. And it’s all a learning process, unfortunately. But little neat trick that I learned from another YouTuber was to put food on your hands, and they would come to your hand. I think that that might be a buff silkie.

I hope that’s a a buff silkie. And I know I got some really bossy, bossy, bossy, bossy, crested headed guys. I think I’m on the side of food, but they are just so beautiful. I’m going to try to get, come over here and do videos every day. We’ve been in such a rush trying to get everything ready because of course we had checks before we were ready.

So that’s one of my bossy, bossy babies. Okay, come on, guys. I don’t have any more food here, okay? Look at that. And that is not wet food. That is just dry food that I’ve grabbed and put in my hands. And they’re coming up with new problems.

Look at all that, babies. There’s so georgious.

I know you want some more. Here, hold up.

This is the babies.

Oh, I think that’s an Australorp, maybe a blue one.

Of coruse, like I said, we’re still learning, or I am. The guy who’s helping me with, he knows way more than I do.

Hey, dude. Looks like they’re about to bed down. It’s actually pretty late. I probably should not be messing with them, but. Oh, they are too adorable, too adorable.

Look they’re actually fighting to get on my hand. It’s amazing. Instead of having a catch the little buggers.

So I will keep you abreast. All right, guys. Hey, come on, dude. Really? Come on. Like, you know, I know these five or six, they’re the ones that always come up to me or have the last few times. So. All right, guys.
